Schedule: We begin early, departing from Puerto Jiménez at 6:00 a.m. The first part of the day is a wildlife safari: the drive itself becomes part of the adventure. Instead of rushing, we take about two hours to reach the Piro area, making frequent stops along the way to observe monkeys, macaws, toucans, and other animals as we pass through different habitats—from pastures and secondary forest to lush primary rainforest.

Piro & Rainforest Hike: Upon arrival and registration we take a little break before setting off on a 2½-hour guided hike through virgin primary rainforest. This trail features majestic giant trees, lianas, orchids, and clear forest streams— ideal spots to spot different wildlife and to connect deeply with nature.

Traditional Lunch & Return: After the hike, we return to the ranch for a homecooked lunch prepared on a wood-fired stove, highlighting local flavors and ingredients. Following a relaxing meal and a bit of time to unwind, we’ll begin our journey back to Puerto Jiménez in the afternoon.
