Your adventure begins at 6:00 am, departing from Drake Bay on a scenic 30 to 40-minute boat ride along the stunning Pacific coastline. During the journey, keep an eye out for marine wildlife such as dolphins, sea turtles, seabirds, and, during whale season, majestic humpback whales.

Upon arriving at San Pedrillo, prepare for a wet landing before stepping into one of the most biodiverse rainforests on Earth. Accompanied by your certified naturalist guide, you’ll explore forest trails surrounded by towering ancient trees, learning about the incredible flora and fauna that make Corcovado world-famous.

Wildlife sightings may include white-faced, howler, and spider monkeys, scarlet macaws, toucans, trogons, parrots, coatis, peccaries, poison dart frogs, and many other fascinating species. With a bit of luck, you may even encounter the elusive Baird’s tapir, one of the park’s most iconic mammals. The trails are considered easy to moderate, with some uneven terrain, exposed roots, and a few stream crossings. During the rainy season, muddy sections make the experience even more adventurous.
